SSL VPN can use two protocols for tunneling packets.  DTLS or TLS which
stands for Datagram Transport Layer Security or Transport Layer Security.
Both the IOS and ASA implementations of SSL VPN use TLS.  So I think the
keyword transport is what should be focused on when looking at the
application of the feature and determining the layer that it is implemented

Hi all

Is SSL a L4 or L7 VPN? SSL uses TCP port number 443 and is encapsulated in
TCP. I usually claim it has L4/L7 VPN. 

But what should be QEQ answer?
