Mostly, they will give you mib family name. But it will be good idea to remember, some of the common used mib names are internet, mib-2 and their corresponding notation. For example, the notation for internet is 1.3.6.1
If you configure "snmp-server view cisco 1.3.6.1 included" and then issue sh run "snmp-server view cisco internet included" When you use include only that view will be available and with exclude, other than that mentioned, you will have the other access. You can use this link http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/do/BrowseOID.do?local=en With regards Kings On Wed, May 4, 2011 at 12:20 PM, Kok Yong CHEONG <[email protected]> wrote: > hi Guys > > i have the following doubts: > > 1. i was looking at the command/configuration of defining the VIEW and > associating the view to the group of users that allows to view/manage it. > under the command of "snmp-server view MYVIEW mib-2 included", as the > "mib-2" is the MIB view family name that you need to input in, do we need to > memorize these MIB family ? or typically it will be given to us ? or can we > check from the documentation url that given in the exam ? > > 2. same command of "snmp-server view MYVIEW mib-2 included", i thought that > the "included" keyword will be to include those MIB family that we specify, > that will also mean that those that i never specify to be excluded > automatically, hence when will be the excluded command required ? under what > kind of condition will that require ? > > 3. is there any example or practise question that is related to snmpv3 > control as above that is available in the workbook ? > > thanks in advance > > regards > KY > > _______________________________________________ > For more information regarding industry leading CCIE Lab training, please > visit www.ipexpert.com > > Are you a CCNP or CCIE and looking for a job?
