You are correct Richard.

VLAN configuration relates only to 802.1X

L2 and L3 are mostly identical. They both rely on filtering at the L3
interface.

The slides from Previous instructors had mentioned the below information and
Brandon may have used that information without getting the updated slides of
the Video on Demand. Refer to the Video on Demand for clarification or any
of the labs in Volume 1 or 2 that cover NAC.

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Security] Is the AOD wrong in the NAC L2 IP section to
mention VLANs?

Hi,

I am listening to the AoD NAC L2 part

It's broken up into to two parts: NAC L2 IP and NAC L2 802.1X.

However when describing NAC L2 IP Brandon mentions the VLAN stuff

VLAN 50
 name healthy
VLAN 60
 name quarantine
VLAN 70
 name checkup

etc.

Isn't this wrong for NAC L2 IP? NAC L2 IP only modifies the interface ACL
like NAC L3 IP.

The VLAN assignment and naming should all go into the NAC L2 802.1x section?
In the NAC L2 802.1X there is no mention of this group of VLANs and their
names.

Richard
