Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Security] ASA REDUNDANT INTERFACE IN MULTICONTEXT CONTEXT
ENVIRONMENT
To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]>

Is it possible to configure a redundant interface (in the system context),
so that the first interface member is active on the primary unit while the
second one is active in the secondary unit?

I try to explain :

ASA1:

Interface Redundant 1

   Member-interface e0/0

   Member-interface e0/1

ASA1(config)#redundant-interface redundant 1 active-member e0/0 (not
mandatory)

ASA2:

Interface Redundant 1

   Member-interface e0/0

   Member-interface e0/1

ASA1(config)#redundant-interface redundant 1 active-member e0/1

All It works fine until I put failover command on the primary and then on
secondary unit.

When the primary unit ends to replicate its config to secondary one, the
active member interface is the same

on both unit ( e0/0 (active) )
