The next hop of the route to the local LAN behind the ASA, needs a route. Will
the default route work for you?

Hello All,

I am having a starnge problem, The VPN Tunnel between ASA 5540 and PIX 506 goes
down every one hour.

After it goes down when i initiate the ping from PIX LAN, The tunnel does not
come up, however if i initiate the tunnel from ASA Local Lan, the tunnel comes
up.

Other tunnels on PIX and ASA are working fine. Phase lifetime is set to 24
hours and Phase 2 lifetime is set to 8 hours

Any clues ?

Thanks & Regards
