Hi Pedrad,

First, FWSM is not in CCIE Security blueprint, so that you do not need to
spend your valuable time on it.

Second, if you curious anyway, Catalyst 6500 is a L3 switch which routing
capabilities are handled by MSFC. You could potentially use FWSM without
MSFC but this is some corner case scenario. Usually, we use MSFC like a
border/edge router and then FWSM as a perimeter guard between the router and
local LAN.
