I took my first practice lab yesterday, very frustrating the first 2 hours just
trying to get connected to the devices. I finally got the doc for
troubleshooting the connections from support about 90 minutes into it. I looked
all over their website for them, which added to my frustration. Anyhow, it was
stupid Windows 7 that was my problem, telnet via url was totally broken, but I
did get that fixed. Now, has anyone run the IPexpert lab 1a and not have Cat 1
and R2 working? I couldn't get them working, it looked like they physically
were not connected to the rest of the lab, and I needed R2 to complete 4
sections of the lab, including SLA. I also could not get ACS to authenticate
anything. Wireshark showed the packet coming in from the firewall, the server
sent an ACK, but no response from ACS at all. Since the lab was just ASA, the
ACS should have worked without having to "fix" anything. Has anyone else
encountered this? A 4 hour lab should not have taken me 7 hours, 2 just to be
able to connect and 1 fiddlin with ACS.
