The only thing that impressed me in STRM are 2 :

1> netflow support, jflow support
2> not limited to juniper boxes, can be exteneded to alot of market products (
mars is limited to cisco domain only )

Kamran,

MARS is no way closer to a alot of SIEM products available in the market. May
be Cisco is trying to build a better one... I have personally POC's very
recently couple of products. I found QRadar and Arcsight to be at a very high
standard when compared to MARS (I knew three years back).

I have deployed 2 mars' installations recently and happen to see
JUNIPER STRM also, why on Earth CISCO has stopped shipping MARS ? I have come
to know that cisco will cease MARS !

This is not ccie lab related question, but i know alot of security
geeks and enthusiasts at work on this study list.

Well..if you think .... False Positives , well i believe STRM is no
exception to it also ? any good reason..... asking the gurus of trade !
