Kings, I do get this point.

However when I look at the CCIE LAB RETAKE POLICY I see Cisco only
requests a 30-day interval between the lab exams.

>From the link
http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/ccie/security/index.html we get
the following:

Step Two: CCIE Security Lab Exam

The eight-hour lab exam tests your ability to get a secure network
running in a timed test situation. You must make an initial attempt of
the CCIE lab exam within 18 months of passing the CCIE written exam. If
you do not pass the lab exam within three years of passing the written
exam, you must retake the written exam before being allowed to attempt
the lab exam again.

Still in doubt and I just opened a case.. I will let u guys know
(retaking the written exam now would be a big issue to me)

Tks again!

It's not 6 months. Refer the following snippet.

Snippet from
http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/ccie/policies/index.html

Written Exam: Expiration
Candidates must make an initial attempt of the CCIE lab exam within 18
months of passing the CCIE written exam. Candidates who do not pass must
re-attempt the lab exam within 12 months of their last scored attempt in
order for their written exam to remain valid. If a candidate does not
pass the lab exam within three years of passing the written exam, he or
she must retake the written exam before being allowed to attempt the lab
exam again.

Written Exam = ABC_DATE

First Attempt = Should be 18 months after ABC_DATE

Second Attempt = Should be 24 months after ABC_DATE or 6 months after
First Attempt .

2nd attempt should be taken one year from the 1st attempt.

Hi guys,

I took the LAB EXAM (which I failed) on November/2010 so it is
completing 1 year right now.. I don't know if it matters but I had my
written score May/2009 (quite a long time)

Well, my questions are:

1) I know that the first LAB attempt must be done 18 months after the
WRITTEN exam, what about the second one? Do I still need to be within
these 18 months?

2) Am I able to retake the LAB exam or I have to renew the WRITTEN one
first?

Any input will be welcome!
