I am working on LAB 1A. I have gone through the lab a number of times.
I have encountered a problem 2 or 3 times. Can someone tell me why I am getting
the error message - and how to avoid it?
I am in section/task 1.3, and I need to set up authentication on both ASA1 and
R8. On two different ocassions, when I typed:
ASA1(config-subif)# ospf message-digest-key 1 md5 ipexpert
I have gotten the following message:
ERROR: Key 1 already exists
When I went to R8, I was similarly informed of the same error.
So - by changing the key from "1" to "2" I resolved the problem... BUT, I do
know that even though RIP is using the same key "1" I have successfully used
"1" as the key in a number of other attempts at lab 1.
Any ideas? clarifications? explanations? as to why I encountered this message?
