Yeah – it is very important to not start looking too deeply into tasks and seeing "ghosts in the machine".
Task values can certainly help point this out. Also – for things like port security that are going to automatically error disable ports upon firing – always remember how error disable recovery operates. This can often be an additional layer they can build on the question – instead of something like KRON. Although I have never seen the task saying "ensure that learned MAC’s are saved to startup config" during the lab exam and I really doubt there would be such a requirement, it's always good to know the solution (especially that IPExpert has the exact task in it's workbook - Lab18 Task 8.1 ;-) ). And yes - if I didn't see such statement in the task, I would forget about using kron. Marta Sokolowska. 2012/10/29 Matt Hill <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> I honestly dont know. I have never sat a Security v3 Lab. R&S v3 on the other hand :) Seriously though, if the task says, "must survive reboot" then what other option is there? If it does not say "must survive reboot" then I'll just leave it as is. Or am I completely missing the point here? Cheers, Matt CCIE #22386 CCSI #31207
