I don’t know if they still do it, but I did have the search function available
on my last attempt. However, be aware most of the “search” request takes you to
a block page, so I wouldn’t rely on it too much.

As a general guideline I'd say you should be familiar with a "manual"
navigation through the Doc CD and should only rely on the Command References
and Configuration Guides.

I've never taken the lab before so I don't know specifically what is available
on the Doc CD. I've ready that everything on this
(http://www.cisco.com/cisco/web/psa/default.html) page once you click on
"Products" in the left pane is available. I just want to make sure that this
includes the "Cisco IOS and NX-OS Software" selection in the center pane. Can
someone confirm this?

As I've been studying, with just over a month left until the lab, I've been
only using the "Doc CD" to find additional information when doing practice
labs. If you search via IOS, rather than specific device model, I've found that
a lot of security topics are much easier to find.

Any other good advice regarding the Doc CD would be helpful as well, although
I'm sure it's one of those things that you just have to make yourself
intimately familiar with in order for it to save you time during the lab.

Kind Regards,
