Congrats Jay!!!! Sent from my BlackBerry 10 smartphone.
I successfully picked up my CCIE Security today.
I completed my CCIE in R/S May 2012 and tried Security IE (blueprint 3) in Oct 2012 but was unsuccessful. I didn't have much time to go through the materials available at the time, but felt strong that I was ready and went back for version 4 based upon self lab prep, workbooks, and work experience. WRONG! Fail. After feeling a bit more defeated, I went through IPExperts workbooks, another vendors' workbooks, and caught a few video sessions from another vendor. I went back yesterday to visit again for my 3rd Security IE attempt and won! So, am I done? Yes! I plan to finish my College degree and enjoy my kids and family! Maybe even a nap or two on the weekend! It's been a few years since I napped instead of labbing. I'm looking forward to going bed at normal times and not needing a Red Bull or Monster to stay up until 1am to lab prep! Ahhhhh! A big shot out to God. Without Him in my corner to lean on, I would not have persevered through this. NEVER give up on your dreams! Being a double CCIE was mine. 2x CCIE's in just under a year, at that. Happy labbing. Cheers!
