Good day,
First time posting.
ASA1 with redundant interfaces.
Cannot ping next hops from respective networks (VLAN 60 and 80). I am
also not seeing the virtual MAC on any of the switches. However the
switches say Up and Up. I tried not using the redundant interface and
ONLY using int e0/3 with the .16 and .18 with the same results.
I downloaded the "final' configs and compared them to what I had. Save
the OSPF portion of which I had not gotten to, it was exactly the same
(switch and asa).
I have been working with ASA for a long time and have never run into
something like this. Interfaces all said UP/UP.
performed:
on switches (all): sh mac address-l | i %virtual MAC address for all
sub-interfaces%, Results: Nothing
on ASA: sh arp, Results: Not seeing the L2 adjacency (R6 and R8
respectively)
on all: sh int Results: all up/up
from R6 & R8: ping %ASA IPs% Results: Nothing, Sh arp Results: Nothing.
Anyone seen this before?
Scheduled another lab for this evening and hoping I can get to the
bottom of this.
