Hi Guys,
I am having the same issue when i am doing failover on vlan300 its not working
for me and I tried it on real switches and GNS3 as well and both don't work for
Vlan-300.
What i have done is describer below.
took two switches
Sw1:
vlan 300 name failover_vlanexit!Vtp mod servervtp domain ccie!int rang fas0/14
- 15sw mod trunksw trunk en dot1qno sh!int fas0/10des connected to firewall8.4V
gig0/2sw mod acc sw acc vlan 300no sh!
-------------On switch2:
vtp mod clientvtp domain ccie!int rang fas0/14 - 15sw mod trunksw trunk en
dot1qno sh!int fas1/10des link to ASA8.4v2 2nd firewall ggi0/2sw mod accsw acc
vlan 300no sh!
------------check the ports are assigned and showing in correct vlan.
Went on to ASA3: Primary in transparent mod.
firewall mod transparentint g0/2no sh!failover lan unit primaryfailover lan
interface FA1LOVER GigabitEthernet2failover key CISCOfailover interface ip
FA1LOVER 30.1.1.1 255.255.255.0 standby 30.1.1.2failover
went to 2nd ASA
firewall mod transparent!
int g0/2no sh!failover lan unit secondaryfailover lan interface FA1LOVER
GigabitEthernet2failover key CISCOfailover interface ip FA1LOVER 30.1.1.1
255.255.255.0 standby 30.1.1.2failover!nothing going I dont know when i change
the vlan below 100 it works liek a charm any thoughts why its happening?
Kind Regards,
Meraj

Do not use OSL for trading. It's not designed for that.
Everyone else - our material and credits are non-transferrable. If you
decide to buy 2nd-hand material/rack time/credits, you are doing so at your
own risk, as we will not be able to support your purchases.
