You sound angry, bud. I was only warning against relying on certain documentation to be available just because someone else said it is. My experience on the subject differed greatly from what others had informed me to expect, so I wanted to share that.
I can't imagine that anyone has memorized every command, but the context sensitive help in the device is always there if you know where something has to be configured but simply cannot remember the syntax. Surely, you should know where something is to be configured to achieve the objective outlined in the exam. Regardless, there is nothing wrong with using the documentation that ends up being available to you - I just don't think anyone can tell you what documentation that is with 100% confidence. Good luck with your studies (and your anger issues). That is why I have reviewed the Cisco DOC for this part to know exactly where to find the needed info. Also in the videos he used the documentation Is that useless?!! Do I have to memorize every single command! _____ From: sheaha...@gmail.com <mailto:sheaha...@gmail.com> To: mark.rie...@nexusis.com <mailto:mark.rie...@nexusis.com> ; bajzelj.u...@gmail.com <mailto:bajzelj.u...@gmail.com> Date: Thu, 12 Sep 2013 11:46:39 -0400 CC: ccie_security@onlinestudylist.com <mailto:ccie_security@onlinestudylist.com> Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_Security] End User Guide's Access During Lab Attempt Don't take that to the bank. Prepare as if there is absolutely no documentation available. I do not believe that Cisco officially releases what documentation is/isn't available and I suspect that is because it changes with the exam or at the sole discretion of the exam's author. At the very end of my last attempt, I clicked into the docs for a second and it was absolutely useless. The extremely small amount of information that I did have access to (which did NOT include all user-guides in my case) was purposely disorganized and as you know the search function is not available. I'm taking the exam again October 7th, I won't pretend to know what to expect regarding docs availability this time around (of course, I don't plan to use them) - they will probably not be the same docs as my last exam. Good Luck!!
