On the note of UCCX and CUPS, can anyone speculate if they think the lab is going to have redundant UCCX7 servers and/or redundant CUPS7 servers? I'm just trying to calculate how many VMWare installs I need and disk space usage since I pre-allocate.

A while ago I mentioned in this thread that CUCM/CUC/CUPS/CUCCX 7 could not be installed on VMware with AMD. I found a very convenient work around; create the installations on an Intel host first, then port the images over to an AMD and start them up. Besides a warning during startup, I've found no other issues. On Mon, Dec 22, 2008 at 9:51 PM, Mark Holloway <m...@markholloway.com> wrote: It's true. UCM7 will not install on AMD machines running VMWare. Someone I spoke with at Cisco said it was not intentional to prevent installing UCM7 on AMD when running VMWare. Perhaps the 7.01 ES release on CCO fixes this? If not, I'm sure a new version is coming. Currently i have the entire 7.0 launch running in vmware without any problems, so you should be ok there. looking at the licenses provided with the NFR (or in VM moded), for CUCM you will have 3 node licenses and 150 dlu`s, for presence you can run 2 nodes. UCCX 7.0 comes with a staggering 150 premium agent license, outbound and basic email is included in premium. unity connection i am not sure, need to check that. grtz, Erik On Wed, Dec 3, 2008 at 4:37 AM, Sunny Sharma <su...@sunnysharma.net> wrote: hi experts planning to build a ccie voice rack. need help in hardware setup as per new V3 blueprint thanks in advance SS -- Chris Kagadis -- Chris Kagadis
