I wonder if System->Configuration->Settings->"Enable spelled name search"
_UNCHECK_ does the job for you?
I cannot test it myself at the moment, sorry.

Hi,
When sending a message from Unity by pressing 2, the default option
is addressing by name. By pressing ##, it will be switched to
addressing by extension. Is there any way to make addressing by
extension as default such that press 2 and then extension to send any
message? I tried with Unity advanced settings tool, but I couldn’t
find any settings for it.
