After you configure the VLANs and IP Addresses and you get get into CUE, check to see what you need to do. Configure it real quick then move on to something else while it's rebooting, etc.
Same for IPCC initial config. Same for CCM services same for anything else that takes a while. Depends what you want to do. You can always re-read the test while waiting if you don't like moving on to something else, testing something else, take a breather, etc. ________________________________ From: [email protected] [[email protected]] On Behalf Of Larry Roberts [[email protected]] Sent: Friday, April 10, 2009 6:04 PM To: Tech Guy; [email protected] Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] NM/AIM_CUE Lab's Default Configuration I would say be ready for either scenario. It should be at the default config prompt, but it's not unheard of to have devices (ATA, VG248, CUE, etc.) with left config from the previous tester. Also know how to recover CUE from rebooting due to a memory leak. There was a link on the Cisco Learning site from Ben Ng on it. ----- Original Message ----- From: Tech Guy<mailto:[email protected]> To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Friday, April 10, 2009 10:49 AM Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] NM/AIM_CUE Lab's Default Configuration Hi, I can't seen to locate this on the blue print or CCIE forum on cisco.com. I know that for the Routers & Switches; one will meet a basic setup that will allow for WAN & IP routing connectivity, etc in the lab. What about the CUE? Will one meet it in its default configuration or you have to restore the factory configuration yourself i.e. wipe-out the current configurations or you start from where you meet the CUE i.e. no factory default, no deleting configurations, just start working on the CUE after configuring the necessary items that will enable you to session into the module. It would have been great if one know this ahead of time, it will help one to plan his/her time better; because that CUE takes almost an eternity to get into a workig state if you have to take it offline and restore the factory default configurations. Hopefully, this will already be done and it will not be needed or if one have to do it, that will be the first order of business after reading the entire lab. Thanks. Tech Guy
