I think it would depend on what you're told to do. I always at an MTP unless told not to. There really is no downside to doing so.
You should avoid multicast MOH with any sip trunk though. ----- Original Message ----- From: J Delgado To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, April 14, 2009 11:04 PM Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] MoH Over InterClusterTrunk GKC Hello Everyone, I have an issue with MoH over the ICT. When I put on hold, like I am using Multicast MOH for onsite calls, this only streams with G.711. I can make MOH to work if I check the option MTP required, but this will affect me the way the call behaves, cause it will request a transcode because the MTP Software only works in G.711. If I press the ? twice I see the codec as G.711. The call goes over the GK with G.729 as expected. Any thoughts about this issue? Are you expected to have MOH over the ICT?
