I think it would depend on what you're told to do.

I always at an MTP unless told not to. There really is no downside to doing
so.

You should avoid multicast MOH with any sip trunk though.

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] MoH Over InterClusterTrunk GKC

  Hello Everyone,

I have an issue with MoH over the ICT. When I put on hold, like I am using
Multicast MOH for onsite calls, this only streams with G.711. I can make MOH to
work if I check the option MTP required, but this will affect me the way the
call behaves, cause it will request a transcode because the MTP Software only
works in G.711. If I press the ? twice I see the codec as G.711. The call goes
over the GK with G.729 as expected.

Any thoughts about this issue? Are you expected to have MOH over the ICT?

  Thanks for your help,

  Juan
