the status message on the phone says the same thin, TFTP: Looking for XMLDefault.cnf.xml.sgn _____ From: Hough, Earl [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, December 18, 2010 3:41 PM To: Kent Noorda - Q; [email protected] Subject: RE: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SIP Phones on CME - TFTP: Looking forXMLDefault.cnf.xml.sgn I know that in the past when I've registered phones to a newer version of UCM, such as 8.0, it seems to always create a CTL file and causes problems when registering to down-level versions of CME. To solve that, I've had to erase the CTL file otherwise it would never register. What version of CME is this? Another thing you might try is forcing "authentication registrar" and giving the voice register pools a username/password for them to authenticate with When you do the "create profile", does it actually create the SIPxxxxxxxxxxxx.xml file in flash? What messages do you get on the 7965 under Status -> Status Messages? That might also give you a clue as to what the phone is trying to look for and can't find. Earl Hough CCIE #16508 (R&S/Security) From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Kent Noorda - Q Sent: Saturday, December 18, 2010 5:27 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SIP Phones on CME - TFTP: Looking forXMLDefault.cnf.xml.sgn All, Wondering if anyone has any ideas here. Trying to register SIP phones to CME. I have CM 8.0 running and I pointed all the phones to CM, built them under CM and everything came up. I did this to get the SIP phone load from CM. When I go back to pointing the phones to the CME router I am unable to get the phones to register. Under debug tftp events I get the following error message: *Dec 18 22:32:50.111: TFTP: Looking for XMLDefault.cnf.xml.sgn Each phone is pulling the correct IP address from the local CME router. The phone load that is currently on the phone is SIP45.9-0-2TH1-2S which it pulled from CM SCCP works fine for ephone 1 and I have verifhed the MAC address of the SIP phone. I have also tried the **#** for the factory reset and still get the same error message. I tried no create prof and create prof with the same result.
