Michael,

All I can say is that I had the same behavior in the past; now I can get it
to work without adding the CME to CUCM. I know that by default for security
reasons CUCM will deny connections from unknown sources; however to me the
gatekeeper controlled trunk seems like an exception. In regards to the CSS;
you use the Trunk's CSS for incoming calls.

If you wish I can take some traces from my lab and share them with you for
further analysis.
