You must ensure that the MRGL of the SIP Trunk now points to an IOS Enhanced MTP which contains "codec g729r8" as the codec (within the IOS). When using the g711u codec you can use the UCM built-in MTP or the IOS Enhanced MTP (which would have "codec g711u" as the chosen codec).
