Personally I preferred the CLI for CME integrations and the GUI for CUCM integrations, because: Its quicker and less error prone to manually add two users and mailboxes for CME than to set up axl integration between the two Its less error/omission prone to set up JTAPI integration for CUCM through the GUI (as this requires a reboot mistakes are costly) and the CUCM AXL integration to import the users is also quick and easy.
