For AAR with Unity Connection (SCCP integrated) you should check the following
in your config:

On the Gateway (BR1-RTR)
AAR Group
AAR CSS
On Hunt Pilot for VM ports
AAR Group
External mask
Route Plan
Ensure that the AAR CSS on the GW hits the appropriate RP/PT
I typically have a separate pattern \+! in aar_pt with a separate RL. If the
question says only account for one specific call scenario then I'll use a RL
appropriate for the scenario. Otherwise, I'll use SLRG
Other config elements depending on question
If using SLRG, make sure that the Gateway's device pool has a LRG assigned
Transformations may be required if using SLRG and you have to handle a variety
of calling parties (again, if the question doesn't specify the call scenario,
assume all are likely)

If Unity Connection is integrated to CUCM using SIP then don't sweat AAR, you
simply put CUC SIP trunk in a RG and the RG in a RL. Then add another RG to the
RL for a redundant call path. That second RG can be SLRG, in which case the
other SLRG-specific notes apply.
