Hi Craig,

as far as I know the lab room depends on the location where you take the lab.
E.g. in Brussels the equipment is in another room with no access for
candidates, but I have heard of other locations where the hardware stuff is
right next to you.

And I place my APs usually one next to the other, never had issues with
interference in a lab environment (unless I did some stress testing ...)

Regards
Stefan

Betreff: [CCIE Wireless] setting up lab according to jeromes workbook.

hey,

I am setting up my lab, according to jeromes workbook, i was just wondering how
everyone else has done their AP placement, my study area is in the basement of
my house and its a colonial so the basement is a very modest size. how has
everyone else setup 7 - 10 access points in such a small area? did you use
attenuators? put them on other floors?

how are they setup in the actual lab is the room very huge? can you actually
see that ap's when you are in the lab room ( never taken a lab yet... )

anyways, i intend to be blogging my progress as i go through jeromes workbook ,
i took a tip from jason boyer who just passed who said that doing his wiki,
really helped him.

oh i will be using

3 1252's
1 1242
and about 6 1130's.

thanks!
