Hello all,
Taking the lab in early August.
Has anyone here taken the Fastlane (Jerome's) bootcamp? I am signed up for it
and wondered how beneficial it has been to candidates.

My 1751v can only support upto cme 4.0(3) so I guess that means no 7921 support, thanks for the help. My lab is scheduled for Jan 10, 2011. Hopefully Rtp will open up soon if anyone hears about it let the list know

Yes, 7921 is supported on CME since Version 4.1 (of course also on UC500 if
interesting for you).
It is straight forward to configure, the only important thing to know is that **# unlocks the network settings (which allows changes to the config)soon

thanks for the help,
i wanted to add the CME to my lab, i know we dont have to do much, but i wanted
to cover all my bases, I don't have a 7921, should i have one for my lab. have
never had a chance to use one always used something else ( vocera ,
spectralink..)
this might be a dumb question, but can i use a 7921 with CME or does it only
support full blown callmanager

Craig,
Jerome said ~3 weeks ago that he hopes to finish the new workbook at the end of
June (but he wasn?t too optimistic on that)
For the CME:
Afaik we are not expected to configure anything on the CME regarding the phones
(ephones, ephone-dns etc).
So it?s basically about bringing the phone into the network and I guess knowing
about option 150 for DHCP scopes could also be important.
Regards
Stefan

i have a 1751-v with 128 ram. and i will use that.
i have also read somewhere that Jerome will be releasing a volume 2 of his
labs.. anyone confirm this?

I would give it a try.
I have seen phones joining CME version that are actually not supported ? of
course that caused issues with call handling, but registration is the only
thing that counts for us ?
