All,

If you got Chad's invite and added the CCIE-W Dropbox folder to your Dropbox
account, you probably suddenly found out that you now have no space left on
your Dropbox account and are significantly oversubscribed. Here's why:

Will joining someone else's shared folder use my quota?
Yes. Your Dropbox storage quota is calculated by adding up the total amount
of data in your Dropbox folder, including all shared folders you own or are
a member of. As a result of this, the owner of a Dropbox Basic 2 GB account
will not be able to collaborate on a shared folder larger than 2GB.
One reason this policy exists is to prevent people from giving themselves
unlimited space by stacking free accounts with shared folders. In the
future, we hope to add a feature where a finite number of Dropbox accounts
can share a single group Dropbox. We also have some exciting sharing
features being developed that will address some of the shared quota
restrictions

So, unfortunately for me, I won't be able to access the files in the CCIE-W
folder because I need access to all the other stuff I have in Dropbox. Their
policy on this sucks but that's the way it is.
