Thanks Marko,
On that note, is there any type of version control on the ipexpert download site? I don’t see any versions on the wireless material, but that may be because it is so new (but older than a week). Unfortunately at this point it can still take me more than a week to complete a 6 hour lab so even if I download the material fresh at the beginning of my study time there might have been a refresh to the material that I was unaware of. Having to manually go in and compare the two solution guides to see if there was an update isn’t ideal. Either having the different versions posted OR a blog / forum / wiki page would be helpful. While we have internal tracking system, it's not open to the public at the moment. The reason is that due to our small size as a company, mistakes get corrected fairly quickly. We also post updates to our material in student accounts whenever they are corrected, but no more than once a week. That way if you suspect a mistake in the material, you can always download the latest version from ipexpert.com and see if the error is gone. If not, by all means, feel free to report it here. Also, please have in mind that sometimes perceived errors may not be errors per se, rather a workaround for a latter requirement in the lab. This is most definitely true in most tracks, but I'm not so sure about Wireless (being beginner student of it myself). Thanks for a great suggestion though - we'll see if it makes sense opening internal bug tracking database to the public. -- Marko Milivojevic - CCIE #18427 Senior Technical Instructor - IPexpert FREE CCIE training: http://bit.ly/vLecture Mailto: [email protected] Telephone: +1.810.326.1444 Web: http://www.ipexpert.com/ On Mon, Jan 17, 2011 at 16:53, Kara Muessig (kmuessig) <[email protected]> wrote: Thanks all, I will do my best as well to try to post any mistakes that I see, but it may be helpful for our own edification to have a central repository of mistakes found or at least a file of all the emails containing the mistakes so that we may check that first before getting confused as to why a config is a certain way. I think we can all appreciate how much time and effort goes into creating the labs and solution guides and we don’t expect everything to be perfect and updated as soon as somebody finds a mistake, but it would be nice to have a blog , wiki or central repository for the errors being investigate or those that have been found and are in queue to be updated on the guides. I do appreciate the feedback that I have received so far from various people, which helps to make this a better workbook and DSG.
