In digging further, that number was updated on February 18, 2011. I know a few
who have passed since then. So, we are probably still under 50 at this point.

I just saw an email this morning this statistics for CCIE's worldwide (it's
on Cisco Live Virtual.) When the list was put together (presuming within the
last few weeks,) there were 42 CCIEWs worldwide. So, it is still an extremely
difficult exam, given that 16 have passed in the last 14 months.

Thanks for the feedback as well. Any ideas that you come across for
configuring the lab more quickly (without NDA, of course!) help everyone.

I took a lot of sheets out of the folder and distributed them on the table.

May sound simple, but that saved a lot of time for me.

    Hi all.

Finally I failed my lab exam.

Thanks to all for your encouragement.

    Jason, for your statistics :)

I spent a lot of time in switching.

Autonomous was quite good and fast.

One AP did not want to register to its WLC using option 43, verifying the
issue I spent again lot of time because just this AP was the key for other
tasks. Finally i could not resolve it and kill several points of other tasks.

WCS was also quite fast; I did not enough time to configure voice support
for SSID.

The key in my case was the strategy, bad plan to detect and resolve the
preconfigured issues and the need to work better in how to do the exam
collecting the information.

Just one finally note, I used to spend lot of time undestanding the lab
topology, VLAN and IP address asignment. People who took the exam previously,
Did you have the same "problem"???, because normaly I need to "navigate"
through the lab workbook and this operation consumes time.

Dan, I´m sure I will try again, I will work my weaknesses because this last
lab showed me that my knowledge (although improvable) was quiet good.

    Thanks again to all.

    Best Regards.

That is more correct :) Each attempt is a learning experience.

      Hi Guys.

I just done my second lab attempt and really I´m dissapointed with my
performance. First, i didn't finish on time and, obviously, I could not review
it. I´m angry because the exam was not too difficult (the first attempt seems
me simpler) but I failed in my strategy and made me lose a lot ot time.

Because there are not seats available before the november the 18th, I
will wait for it to ripen the new laboratory and while this is happening I will
continue working to improve my performance.

Thanks to all for your help especially in the last month. I will rest for
a two weeks and then keep studying in background :-)

      Best Regards.
