Hello OSL readers.

i was working on proctor LAB for first LAB scenario in WB1.

now the question 1.2 states that root switches are CAT1 and CAT2 ( no other
switch can be become root). and thus we used root guard on CAT1 and CAT@ that
are connecting to CAT 3.

the issue that when you go to section 1.3 (LOAD balancing) and configure VLAN's
odd and even on appropriate paths , that will not take effect and CAT 2 will
keep active port ( even it is having highest cost).

to have load balancing work as explained in question , i had to remove root
guard configured earlier.
have anyone faced this?

if so , without playing with CAT3 priority  , how we can guarantee it never
come root and without configuring root guard?
would uplink fast help ( what this command do exactly)?

many thanks for you help ;o)
Kind regards
Talal
