According to documentation: The serial backhaul access point has two backhaul radios: one uplink and one downlink. The two 5-GHz radios are used for the serial backhaul, which provides uplink and downlink access. Each 5-GHz radio backhaul is configured with a different backhaul channel, so there is no need to use the same shared wireless medium between the north-bound and south-bound traffic in a mesh tree-based network. I am aware of only AP1524SB that fits this description and is not on the CCIE v2 lab list. So what do you think serial backhaul refers to in the v2 lab topics list? 4.18 Configuring and troubleshooting Mesh (a) AP authorization (b) BGN (c) Ethernet bridging (d) serial backhaul
