I didn't look to verify the version when I was out there earlier this
month.  But right-clicking in the window brought up a list of options,
which included pasting.  So it doesn't auto-paste when you right-click by
default.

In terms of trying to save time, I'd put this type of optimization pretty
low on the list of things you could do.  I personally use the auto-paste
function in my day-to-day activities and didn't find adapting to the
different behavior to be overly cumbersome.  But if you want to make the
change across the board, I'd only bother on the controllers, switches, and
autonomous APs.  It's rare where you'd have to paste something into a
lightweight AP console session.
