I started my journey toward the CCIE Wireless two years ago. Easily passed
the written exam at Cisco Live in 2011. At that same event I attended the
CCIE Wireless techtorial. About 6 months after passing the written exam I
felt ready to take the lab, took it, and received terrible scores. I took
the lab 3 more times, with steadily increasing scores but came to the
conclusion that I could not pass the lab without some outside help. I took
the Fastlane bootcamp with Jerome, and wow was this valuable. Looking back
on my experience, I should have taken the bootcamp after my 1st attempt. I
was looking forward to my 5th exam as I was certain I could pass this time.
Unfortunately the content was significantly different from what I had seen
previously, but still I was happy with my results. I just took the exam
the sixth time. I finished the exam in 6 hours, had time to test
everything possible, re-read all of the questions, made some changes to fix
issues.
I know in previous attempts some things were not working that I fixed on
this attempt, yet received scores just as poor as my 2nd attempt at the
exam. I have an email into the CCIE wireless program manager asking about
grading of this last exam. I have so much time/effort/money invested in
this certification that I do not want to give up. I am not sure how to
move forward, or if I should realistically attempt this again, your
suggestions are welcome.

If you take one thing away from my experience, it should be to take a
bootcamp early on in the process.

Thanks - Tom
