Jeen, I used the Fastlane workbook (V2) to prepare for my exam which I did pass in Oct 2012. I do agree the workbooks aren't completely adequate for passing the exam. But I would not of passed the exam without the use of the workbook either. The workbook was just one piece of the exam puzzle. I read the Cisco deployment and configuration guides about everyday on some subject during my prep. Watching YouTube and training videos was also a big help. I was in a study group as well during my prep time which was good working out issues and solutions with someone else's view point. I did have the advantage of a very good home lab that my employer did purchase for me and I spend many hours testing and re-testing configs to ensure I understood the technology behind the requirement in the blueprint. Another plus was taking the actual exam and then working our this in my home lab after the exam. It took me several attempt to pass and I did get better scores each time. In the actual lab exam experience I did see slow response from some service or device at times which I would call over the proctor to report. The worst situation I had was with WCS taking 10 minutes or longer just to add a WLC to the WCS or ACS not working initially or issue with an SSID but broadcasting for a certain WLC etc. The key is to know the technology well enough to know when it's the lab and not you at fault then you can get some help from a proctor to resolve your issue.

I was really shocked with the exam because I was quite confident before. The only two workbooks out there for CCIE Wireless is actually not enough, well for the version of exam I took. My GUI interface was very slow, especially anything with popups (WLC). For some about half the configurations in WLC, after clicking apply, the WLC will usually prompt with some sort of warning or confirmation message, that took roughly about 10 seconds to respond. I wasted quite a lot of time throughout the exam. At first I thought that was normal. Anyone who took the exam experienced this too or is it just me and I should have flagged it with the proctor? The WLC at the Remote site was a bit slower. But not quite as slow as what you are describing. Where did you take your exam? Also, I'd like to get your feedback on the IPexpert workbooks. I'll be doing some updating to them in the near future. So if there are parts of the blueprint where you feel that they are lacking, I'll be sure to work on that.
