Here is a background of my journey...

Exam was a beauty! So much troubleshooting! I wish they gave final grading
results even for pass.

After the exam during Halloween trick/treat with kids...I was thinking of
all the nightmares of whatifs...realized this was more scary than looking
at all kinds of weird.scary costumes!

Attempted R&S in 2003 without serious prep.Last 5 years I have been
supporting both DataCenter and Wireless. Chose to go first with CCIE
wireless track after UCS deploy got delayed. With a personal issue to care
not so well spouse and eventful work - never got a breathing room for self
preparation. Once steam picked up dead line was set for 6 months so had to
look for all available study guides. Standard study schedule of 4-6AM,
8-11PM with weekends.

Went through the below materials multiple times...(in order of purchase)
BTW...Personal purchase and not sponsored at work :-( - add one month of
time off from work between two lab attempts.

0. Wireless Written on Demand by Jennifer - v1 (skip it)
1. IP Expert Video on On Demand -Nicholas Darchis (very good for beginner
to medium level)
2. Fast Lane Workbook (OK)
3. IP Expert Two week online Bootcamp (excellent)
4. 100 hours of Proctorlabs.com (excellent) and work lab setup.

Mike Franko at IPExpert was helpful in giving discounts for some purchases.
I missed several hours of bootcamp and had to wait for video recordings to
be posted. I particularly thank Jeff Rensink for doing great job in
bootcamp. You have to be prepared and be ready for lab to appreciate the
depth and details covered in his class. Last two weeks before lab entire 2
weeks of bootcamp recordings were revised twice. Without this my journey
would have got delayed. At the end I was kind of completing his sentences!
(along with my 5yr old kid!)

There are several other blogs I followed which were very helpful.
Particularly mrncciew.com by Rasika, every day in AM first thing I used to
check his postings.

Bye for now,
Prasanna~
