The WLC GUI is usable in the lab. But, you need to reach the GUI from the WCS server. You cannot reach it from your lab PC.
Your lab PC is not on the same network as your rack. From your lab PC, you can only reach the WCS server (using RDP or VNC), the Test PC (again with RDP or VNC) and your terminal server for console access. To access a GUI, you need to RDP to the WCS server, open your web browser from within WCS, and then target your WLC/AP/ACS/etc. It is possible that a particular GUI isn't accessible to begin with from WCS. So you may have to troubleshoot the reason why. But every GUI should become reachable with proper configurations.
