Thanks for your testing and input.

I've gone through and reviewed your suggestions and added comments
where applicable. Most of them are straight-forward and I'll try and
do them soon. However your last suggestion (CCNET-1518) runs into some
problems with the way NetReflector works, so while it would be nice to
simplify it, I don't know if it is possible.
