I've been trying to get up an running under Ubuntu 8.04 and have been
having some trouble. I've installed Mono 2.0 and can get ccnet.exe to
run with a super-basic config (<project name="test"/>) but it seems to
choke when I add anything more sophisticated.
For example, I added the following labeller block:

<labelFormat>000</labelFormat>
</labeller>
This causes the executable to fail with the following stack trace:

The same problem happens if I remove the labeller block and add a
sourcecontrol block with type="svn". I'm guessing something is going
wrong with NetReflector during validation, but I'm stumped as to how
to address it.
