CCCmd looks promising indeed and I was even planning on using it
directly in a wrapper, instead of rewriting my own.
Unfortunately, I found two issues:

1. The output from cccmd is text only, which makes it hard to parse.
Having a -xml option like one that is available in svn for instance
would make it quite easier.

2. When forcing a build, no parameter is asked for even if they are
required. I'm quite surprised that the forcebuild succeeded despite
missing the required parameters.

Is this something that is fixed in 1.6? Or should I add those in JIRA?
