Hello,

I just installed ccnet on a win 2008 r2 server.

During installation, at the Creating IIS virtual directory step I get a
dialog box stating, "The installer attempted to set the ASP.NET version for
the CruiseControl.NET Web Dashboard but was not successful. Please check
IIS after the installer has completed and manually set the ASP.NET version."

The ccnet virtual directory application pool is set to .NET Framwork
v2.0.50727 and Integraged Managed pipe mode. (Classic mode causes a 500
error on the dashboard.)

Navigation to the dashboard and landing on
http://stl2-v-contint/ccnet/ViewFarmReport.aspx the dashboard loads, but
says, "There were execptions connecting to the following servers:" Shown
in a table is Server = local, Url =
tcp://localhost:21234/CruiseManager.rem, Message: Tcp channel protocol
violation: expecting preamble.

ccserver services is not starting and will not start. The services.mcs
dialog upon starting says that, "The CruiseControl.NET Server service on
Local Computer started and then stopped." ccserver is running under local
system account. Running with an administrator account does not fix it.

Event viewer has events in the Application log from both CC.Net and
CCService, "System.Net.SocketsException: An attempt was made to access a
socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions."

Firewall has rules that open port 21234 for tcp. netsh advfirewall show
rule name-all verbose is showing the port open. PortQry does not connect,
but that might be due to the ccsservice not running.

I assume my problem is that ccserver will not start.

Any suggestions on how to get ccserver to run will be appreciated.

Thanks,

erd
