Although not directly helpful, its worth mentioning that collecting slices that are less than half the mosaicity in degrees, is likely to add to the experiment nothing else but trouble ...

On the more practical side of things, if thats 'only a derivative' integrating it with the wrong mosaicity should still be Ok to look for isomorphous differences ?

1. How to tell mosflm to refine the mosaicity on a value higuer than the initially estimated one? As I told, I tried varying the POSTREF MOSADD X without success. The mosaicity seems to change slightly from image to image, so I would
like to properly refine this parameter.

Mosaicity can change from image to image, why not ?

3. In this fine sliced/high mosaic dataset the Rmerge per image (SCALA) tend to
be higher than usual. Is that normal in this case?

That is normal. Scala outputs also the multiplicity weighted Rmerge by Kay D.,
which should alleviate that problem.

4. How should one interpret the anomalous plot outputted by SCALA?

I guess you mean the normal probability plot. If the many dots do not form a cloud around the diagonal you have signal, if they are along the diagonal then you don't. what it exactly is the plot, i though I did understand it when explained, but I will
not attempt to reproduce the explanation - just in case ... ;-)
