Title: Postdoctoral Position - La Jolla, CA

A funded Postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Partho Ghosh (University of California, San Diego; http://pghosh.ucsd.edu) to carry out biochemical and X-ray crystallographic studies on interactions between bacterial toxins and host cell receptors.  The project focuses on understanding the specificity of such interactions as it relates to mechanisms of resistance, as well as the significance of conformational changes that may be evoked as a consequence.  Highly motivated individuals with strong backgrounds in biochemistry and X-ray crystallography are especially encouraged to apply.  The laboratory is well equipped for protein _expression_, purification, analysis, and crystallization.
