Dear Steve et al:

Sorry if I've said (spammed) this before, but with g77 v. 3.4.5 and gcc 4.0.2
in the 100% free Ubuntu debian linux, CCP4 5.99.4 builds without having
to do anything messy. This is on the latest release (Ubuntu 5.10).
Ubunutu has 32 and 64-bit versions. I just got copies of free live demo
and installation CDs -- the company spent 5 Euros to mail them to me! You
can also download the install CD or demo CD disk image for free and burn
it. I made a brief web page describing crystallography on Ubuntu here:

http://xanana.ucsc.edu/linux/debian_linux.html

It is very easy to maintain.

HTH someone.

Bill
