A CCP4/MaxInf Workshop will take place at the supercomputing centre CESCA and
the UPC, IBMB-CSIC, in Barcelona from 9:00 on March 2nd to 20:00 on
March 7th 2006.
Additional support is provided by ICREA and the PCB. The Workshop
will concentrate on phasing and refinement of macromolecules and we will
attempt to provide a general introduction as well as tutorials;
confirmed speakers and tutors include Paul Adams, Serge Cohen, Kevin
Cowtan, Carmelo Giacovazzo, Regine Herbst-Irmer, Victor Lamzin, Garib
Murshudov, Jorge Navaza, George Sheldrick, Isabel Uson, Alexei Vagin and
Clemens Vonrhein, Phil Evans, Paul Emsley.

The number of 'students' will be limited to 30. Thanks to generous
support from CCP4/MaxInf we are able to provide some accommodation (2 to a
room) and travel support. The closing date for applications is February
3rd 2006. There is no formal application form but applicants should
attach one PDF file containing no more than one page to an email to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] containing name, address, telephone and fax
numbers, email address, nationality, M or F, brief details of your
academic qualifications and of your research project, including (very
briefly) results achieved so far as well as problems with phasing and/or
refinement, the name of your reseach supervisor or other person who may
be consulted if necessary, and whether you wish to apply for
accommodation and travel support. All this information will be treated
confidentially. There will be opportunities for participants to bring
their own data.
