To avoid that people start to think high solvent content is actually desirable, the honking big yellow crystal that Emerald uses on their promotional pictures had about 85% solvent content. Although crystals grew up to 2x2x1.5mm diffraction never exceeded 9 Angstrom. I should mention that this was before routine cryo-mounting and we were dealing with a 9 MDa protein and unit cell axes close to or exceeding 1000 Angstrom along each axis. So it was a bit of a long shot to start with.
