I got coot running on Fedora Core 4, both 32 and 64 bit OS.
I provided a link in coot/lib for my version of libpt, as covered in the
coot FAQ:
ln -s /usr/lib/libpt_linux_x86_r.so.1.8.7
$COOT_PREFIX/lib/libpt.so.1.6.5
I got ccp4mg running on the x86_64 platform by putting a couple symbolic
links in /lib:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]> locate libssl.so
/usr/local/Adobe/Acrobat7.0/Reader/intellinux/lib/libssl.so
/usr/local/Adobe/Acrobat7.0/Reader/intellinux/lib/libssl.so.0.9.6
/usr/local/Adobe/Acrobat7.0/Reader/intellinux/lib/libssl.so.0
/usr/lib64/libssl.so
/lib/libssl.so.5
/lib/libssl.so.0.9.7f
/lib64/libssl.so.5
/lib64/libssl.so.0.9.7f
/lib64/libssl.so.0.9.7a
/lib64/libssl.so.4
ln -s /lib/libssl.so.0.9.7f /lib/libssl.so.4
ln -s /lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.7f /lib/libcrypto.so.4
-----------------
On 32 bit Fedora Core 4, I do not have ccp4mg running yet:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ccp4mg
Loading fonts..
...DONE
Starting graphics thread..
/usr/local/ccp4_master/ccp4mg-0.12/bin/ccp4mg: line 279: 26924 Floating

Dear Dr Schuller,
Have you tried the binary from
http://www.ysbl.york.ac.uk/~ccp4mg/download/
rather than the one with ccp4 5.99 ? It may work better. If not, I will
try to work out further what is wrong.
Best Wishes,
