<x-tad-bigger>Hey there,
Sorry for asking this has-been-asked question. I did find some old discussions on switching between cns and refmac while keeping free-r flags via google. However, I couldn't convert my cv file as indicated in those previous postings. I created my cv file from .hkl converted from .sca files instead of a conversion from mtz files. I tried the sftools and freerflag(f2mtz) in CCP4i, but none of them worked. My sftools only accepts mtz files as input files while freerflag(f2mtz) uses hkl files as input, which, to my knowledge, should have no free-r flag in it. (I only see the test=1 in cv files but couldn't find any trace in hkl files.) Even though I tried to use the f2mtz using hkl files, it failed with the error message indicating problems in reading reflections. I'd really really appreciate it if anyone would help me solve this problem. Thanks so so so much!
