Imperial College London: Post-doc in structural biology of bacterial toxins

A postdoctoral position is available for a project involving the
characterisation of toxins from Clostridium difficile, a bacterial pathogen
that causes antibiotic associated diarrhoea in humans. We already have E. coli
clones expressing domains of the toxin, and some preliminary crystallographic
data. Experience in crystallographic methods is highly desirable. Additional
experience in molecular biology methods would be preferable, but we can train
you.

You will join Dr Fairweather's multidisciplinary group investigating various
aspects of bacterial pathogenesis, and work alongside Dr Katherine Brown's
protein analysis and crystallography group. Both researchers are in the centre
for Microbiology and Infection (www.imperial.ac.uk/cmmi), where further details
can be found.

The position is available immediately, for at least 28 months, on the salary
scale £22,870 - £33,330 depending on age and experience.
