Postdoctoral Training in Cancer Research:

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the Johns Hopkins
Bloomberg School of Public Health is pleased to announce a new National
Cancer Institute funded postdoctoral training program in cancer research.
This program provides training in basic biochemical, biophysical and
molecular biological approaches that can be applied to critical problems in
cancer biology. Trainees will carry out a traditional laboratory- based
research project and in addition will receive training and participate in
activities that provide an introduction to current topics in the clinical
aspects of the cancer problem and their relationships to public health. The
environment for structural biology at the school is outstanding, with a new
X-ray crystallographic facility, and protein analysis facility with ready
access to instruments for calorimetry, circular dichroism, fluorescence,
dynamic light scattering, and surface plasmon resonance.

Applicants must have a PhD or MD degree, a strong academic record,
significant research experience in the biological, chemical, or physical
sciences and must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
Information about the program and instructions for applying may be found at
